The leftmost colored column is '17 PAX vs '16 PAX relative to SSR
The middle colored column is '17 PAX vs '16 PAX vs overall average PAX
If 'your' class is more reddish, 'your' PAX is 'harder'.
If 'your' class is more greenish, 'your' PAX is 'easier'.
Without even running the numbers, I can confidently say that if the STC 2016 results are recalculated with the 2017 values, Laughlin will still be the winner by a longshot!  ;D ;)

Doing this from my phone, so I hope it works, but attached is the changes relative to A Mod / normalized.

They aren't as huge as you think.

Did somebody hit the reset button? Those look like pax numbers from 10 years ago.  ???

If you need to make A Mod harder, it can't go higher than 1.000, so every other class needs to get "easier" in order to compensate.

I may not need more convincing to start racing my G35x in DS?

STX is red.

You are reading this wrong.  STX is easier next year, DS is HARDER next year.

Sorry Randy but you got it backwards.  DS went from 0.811 to 0.801 getting easier as AM is 1.0. STX also got lower going from 0.836 to 0.822.  Its easier if it moves toward 1.0 it got harder again as AM is the highest pax with the fastest cars usually. DS is easier than STX but that is how it should be.

either way I'll still be towards the bottom of STS everywhere. I need to double check those tire rules.

Looks like I should be running the Corvette it keeps getting an easier PAX and CS gets harder. Not that the Miata isn't for sale anyhow....

Then maybe you'd stop complaining about everything being a power course  ;D

Yes and no. Overall, you're right, but if you consider just the classes that people locally actually race in (and the overall average drop), then DS did indeed get harder. All sorts of classes got "easier", but DS less so.

I was comparing 2016 to 2017 pax change.  Not DS pax directly to STX pax.  AM got harder so the scale changes, but STX had a bigger change in the "easy" direction from AM than DS, so if you were to choose between STX and DS this coming year, STX would be easier than DS in 2017.

Rick has updated his numbers.  CS now fully reflects the ND - CS folks without one should basically not pay attention to their PAX results for 2017.  SS and FS got a bit harder as well.  AS is unchanged and still looking good.   ;)

Well, if the pro solo index follows suit and if the benchmark continues to be Clemens in BM, I certainly can't complain about the index.  Whether we'll be close enough driving-wise for it to matter is a big TBD.

I seem to recall myself bitching about the ND in CS, now this is exactly why. If you drive anything other than a ND your f-ed. I'll go back to my C4 its more fun to drive and I can point to the car when I'm slow, its old, even if the driver sucks. The C4 is basically as fast as my NC on shorter courses. Something faster or with more low speed digs and the Corvette wins. I recall writing the SEB about moving the C4 to CS. Seems to make EVEN MORE sense now that the PAX reflects the ND in CS and thus tougher. Mark Andy said my C4 is about .5 too slow for BS, which means it would fit in CS a heck of lot better.....especially now....but what the fuck do I know!!!

If your C4 is 0.5 second too slow for BS, you are still 0.32 second too slow for CS on a 60 second course :P

Good luck with that C4 to FS letter ;D

Updated the pax calculator app to the 2017 index. Might add the pro solo index later, but no promises.

Probably won't make an android version unless somebody buys me a google pixel or something.

Well, ProSolo rules/index are finally out and I'm glad to see Jonathan Clements win last year didn't cause any real movement in the CM index!  Also, no real change for BM and a bit tougher for KM and FM, so generally ok/good for CM.   :) 8)
