Deciding tonight.  If it is still available I might claim that last spot.

There's always the waitlist. With 1350 people, you know someone will likely drop out.

I registered.  The entry list is still showing 1329 entrants and 20 in junior karts.  Should have been one spot remaining, but I was placed on the Waitlist.  Sent email to Brian with SCCA to inquire.  Hope I get a spot. :o

You'll get in.  With that many people, there WILL be people that drop out, the only question is if its 10 or if its 50.

Even the Toledo Champ Tour which sold out in less than a day was able to get everyone from the wait list in. This early on, you should be fine.

Don't forget to register for a TnT session:
https://www.motorsportreg.com/events/2017-scca-solo-nationals-test-n-tune-lincoln-airpark-national-tour-873091

I highly recommend it, especially if this is your first nationals...if nothing else just to relieve some nerves.

Edit: I have a Monday spot reserved that I probably won't use that I can give to a Steel Cities member if you want it.

100% agree, unless you're running the Pro Finale too.

Monday will sell out fast btw.  Evo at least used to have their own thing on the TnT course that was a better deal, but that fills up even quicker.

Seriously - thank you for the heads up on that. Just booked 5-6pm on Monday. I won't be getting there until around 3-4pm on Monday - so figured this works well.

I'm too lazy to look (and the SCCA site is blocked while at work because of its certificate issue). Anyone familiar w/ the alcohol rules on site?

The alcohol rules are as follows...

Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the course area, grid area, or practice course. It is recommended, consumption of alcohol be limited to the paddock area or tent area designated for meals or other functions.

Unless you have a camel back that is filled with Pepsi and Makers Mark - DAN!

For those noobs going - you will need a bike or scooter.  Be prepared for weather ranging from 60 to 102 degrees.  I experienced both in the same week.

Drive fast (at Lincoln, not on the roadways) and be safe.  And bring back some hardware.

When is everyone planning to arrive?  I'm leaving today after work.  I usually try to get to Iowa and stop for the night at a rest stop, then finish the rest of the drive in the morning.  Should get there sometime around noon tomorrow.

I'm leaving Saturday and stopping for the night at a friend's house in Illinois.  Then I'm leaving there at 6 am and I'm hoping to be on site between 3 and 4 on Sunday.  I think instead of rushing to try to get tech out of the way that day, I might just drop my rear wheels off at the Bridgestone tent to have my tires flipped while I stand in line for registration.

I'm taking the FiST. I barely have room for myself. :( Otherwise I'd like to help ya out.

I'm heading out Sunday around 1pm (from North Park) - staying in the Quad Cities area Sunday night and making the last 5 hour leg on Monday - hoping to be there around 1 or 2pm Monday afternoon.

For those of you not following at home/work - shame on you.

Dan Ireland finished in the trophies (10th) in what I like to call murderers row class - SSR.
Figs couldn't lay off the cones and had to rely on hero third runs which let him finish in 19th.
Adopted son of steel cities, and teacher of autox, Sam Strano won SSR.

Alex Piehl landed just outside the trophies in 13th in HS for his first nationals.

Dan Sabol got a 35th place in FS avoiding the DFL at his first nationals which is hard to do.

Greg Maloy finished 2nd in CM.  John Ryan finished 13th.

I know I missed some people, so don't yell at me.

Tuesday morning I just couldn't put it together, the high speed and and high grip got in my head.  I kept pulling myself towards the sucker cones -- And yes, dirty boy.  Hit cones that I had to be next too so I'm not upset about it.

There is always 2018 =)

East course was crazy fast! West looks to be pretty quick too. The sweepers are road course fast lol.

Why did I wait this long to come here...
