So reg is still at 180. What happens now. Will they release 20 more spots, or are wait listed people getting on from cancelations only? Asking because a nationally competitive SMF car is on the waitlist, and I'd love to run against that thing and see where we're at!  ;D

If I understand how it works correctly, anyone with Steel Cities as their region of record on the current wait list will get moved to the regular event two weeks prior to the event starting.  If there are 21 locals on that wait list, the first 20 will get in, then the hard cap is hit, and no more entries are allowed.  But, let's say there are only 10 locals on that wait list.  All 10 would make it in.  After that, anyone that doesn't have Steel Cities as their region will get in based on where they are on the wait list.

If I counted correctly, there are 59 "locals" already signed up (with a few curious absences), so I don't think there will be many locals on that wait list, so there's a good chance they'll get in.

I would like to get some magnetic material. Anyone know the size of the Tire Rack & the SCCA Wire Wheel fender decals?

The Match Tour sticker is 3.25 x 8 inches.  You'll need 2 of those on the side of your car.

The SCCA logo sticker is roughly 3.5 x 8.5 inches.  You'll need one of those on the front of the car.

Ted - Home Depot sells 3 packs of 8"x15" magnetic vent covers. Works like a charm!

Is there a calendar/schedule for Friday - Evo School, then practice/fun runs?  I don't want to miss out on the Friday fun.

13 in D street and 15 in SSR.  D street will be fun to play in and SSR should be fun to watch.

Real quick note -

BIG thanks to the STC staff for putting on a fun even with a really fun course. Weather be damned - that was still the most fun I've had in a while at an event.

GREAT to see all of my old friends up here and really what I consider FAMILY. Everyone made it feel like I never left ( and coincidentally , it's 4 years to the weekend ) and that felt great.

Hope to make it back this year for an event. Maybe I'll hit someone up for a co-drive.

Thanks

Thanks for making the trip Brian.  Wish it could have been warmer.  Maybe we can hold the match tour in Bristol next year.  At least it will be warmer.

Not that I haven't thanks him enough, but big thanks to Huber for letting me flog the Z06 for a event!  Course was awesome I've been nothing but totally impressed with the tour courses at Pittrace.  I just wish the weather would stop freaking changing every time I set foot in the car.  I barely got comfortable in the car on my last run on Saturday and all it showed me was how horribly I was underdriving the car.  Still I had nothing to prove I was basically out there for fun.  Almost didn't stay for dinner, but I was too tired to leave haha.  Glad I stayed it was a nice way to cap the day off.  Oil spill sucked, but thankfully the Pittrace Safety crew had nothing better to do except watch us race all weekend so they were happy to jump in there.  Seeing Safety-1 on course alongside Rick's truck with the strobes on gave me serious PVGP flashbacks lol.

Anyone from here that has NOT made it down to Bristol for an event is missing out. The lot is big ( a little bumpy in spots ) and the region puts on good events. Next week, it's on a saturday as well. it's a 6 hr drive from the burgh.

The 4th of july weekend, we're having BOTH a match and champ tour. Greg Vincent was there last year and said that it can be a LONG weekend, but you get both in one weekend.

I seriously doubt I'll be there due to things outside my direct control, but who knows.

I've not had a chance to look at gopro or data from last weekend. I JUST unpacked the suitcase last night and the car is still sitting in the garage on race wheels. Camping this weekend... so maybe next week.

Well, after a considerable delay  :-[, Steel Cities points standings have been posted to reflect the Match Tour results.
stcsolo.com/standings

We got no assistance from National this year, but thanks to Alex P who at least digitized the names and classes into something AXWare could import.

As a reminder, all of Saturday was scored just a like a normal STC event - best time of all 6 runs - and not according to the Match Tour rules (though those results are linked from the stcsolo page as well).

Let me know of any needed changes/corrections,
John Ryan
