Granite / Quartz supply.
« on: June 24, 2010, 09:59:32 PM »
Anyone in the south hills or even as far as the strip district sell granite or quartz counter tops?  My wife and I will be ready to have out counters templated next week.  Rough estimate is for 28 sq. ft.  We just want an eased square edge (no ogee or anything fancy).

The longest run is straight and 15.5 sq. ft. with an undermount sink cutout.

I plan on hitting up Magnotti, Walls, Floors, and more, pittsburgh marble and granite, and possibly that concrete place in the strip.  I would rather give someone on here the business if possible so if you work at a place that deals in this stuff, let me know by tomorrow morning.

We are most interested in quartz and I think we are leaning toward one of the dupont ones like zodiak.  We are damn liberal hippies and I don't really like that the silestone product has microban added when I don't really think it's necessary.

Final note, we are not opposed to remnants if they match decently or can be seamed fairly well.  As stated, the longest run is on one wall with the sink, 15.5 sq. ft.  There are four other countertop work areas to the left and right of the stove and to the left and right of the sink.  I'll bring the drawings to show what I mean.

Thanks!

Right over on McNeilly, huge selection of custom stone tops.  Colucci I think?

Did you punt on the concrete already?  Couldn't get the finish you were after?

yeah, I think we'll stop by Colucci.  I know where they are.

Still slightly torn.  We were pretty happy with the finish but we also just want this done.  If I poured tomorrow, we still wouldn't install until closer to the end of july.  I've done enough with the kitchen...  And I still have doors, drawer fronts, and drawers to stain and urethane.
