Howdy,

It's economics. I have one set of standard sockets, but an entire garage full of metric and BMW specialty tools:). Even have a BMW diagnostic tool.

Um.... Right.

You're aware that US cars have used Metric fasteners since like the mid seventies, right?

Which is really funny because all the aftermarket crap I buy for these cars has standard 3/8ths nuts 'nat.

Yeah, BMW's are way cooler than Hondas, so you wouldn't get made fun of if you just said you liked them.

They are only cooler if someone can drive them fast.  I recall someone getting beaten by a girl on several occasions while driving an M3

Yeah, in an under prepared BSP car with 220ish whp, against a corvette with heads/cam/intake that was somehow being run in BSP.  And I think she only beat me at Giants.  I will have to check.  Asshole.   ;D

This may be the most OT introduction thread ever.

It's awesome... I just recently took a FB thread that was talking about haunted houses, to ghosts, and turned it over to anti-matter and potassium-40 so OT a thread is my MO.

Welcome, and by the way... What do you think about the failure of MLB to promote small market teams.

As long as there's revenue sharing  they don't NEED to promote them. The pirates get $ from the Yankee's good fortunes.

As long as the 'fans' buy the apparel, go to games and feed the monster, the MLB and the teams like the pirates could care less about success as long as they make $ for the year.

I'm more curious about why in Top Gear that they drive in the metric system and yet they tell their own audience about how fast the car goes based in MPH... they talk about distances in MILES and uses the term gallons.... they never talk about buying liters of Petrol, or speed in KMH.

And while we're on the subject....

Who's bright idea was it to do ALL the length of the PA turnpike at once.... and then do major lane re-routing in the middle of the F-n afternoon instead of @ night... ?

Hoping to hit a couple of BR days too next year, as well as summit and whats on your list. maybe we'll cross paths somewhere. BR looks a tad boring so i'll probably be hitting up summit and mid ohio. Gotta find the best $$ for track and track time.

I just like that I can make a day trip out of BR. However, I love midohio and want to go to some other tracks as well:)
