BMW also released the specs on the 1-series M coupe. 330hp, 6 speed manual only, roughly 70+lbs lighter than the normal 1 series.
And are they really not going to offer it with a DSG option?
I don't think the DSG trans fits once you add the Haldex/AWD...
Rumor has it one local autocrosser has one of these on order already. Something about his blue VW got dirty or something BMW also released the specs on the 1-series M coupe. 330hp, 6 speed manual only, roughly 70+lbs lighter than the normal 1 series.
I've seen the figure of $32k tossed around a few sites. Sorry but $27k WRX > $32k Golf.
Bobby, Paul, Dave, Matt... Maybe one more, can't remember.

I paid 31k for my 04 R32 and have driven many WRX's, not a chance in hell the WRX is a better car, may be quicker in some venues, but as a whole package the VW kills it, just look at the quality of materials used, the luxury items, the more solid feel of the car, you can agrue this if you want, but there is no comparasion and it will fall on deaf ears. I am not a one car guy either, I have a ford, GMC, a dodge, a Porsche, and 2 VW's that we actually drive and have owned jap cars as well.So I am not that biased.

Comparing the sale figures of each pretty much answers that question.
