We'll see, might be up on Sunday. Right now kart is in more pieces than its ever been while in my possession. It's been a learning experience this week.

Well Colin & I braved the rain today and were rewarded with a dry track after about 2pm till about 7pm when I literally pulled/dragged him out of the kart.  No thanks to Jeremy for not helping to dry it off with is EVO though ;).  Anyway, the munchkin ran through another 2.5 tanks of gas, and I granaided(sp?) my shifter engine after about 5 laps :'( :o
Oh well, I guess the clone will get built quicker than I thought!

94integra, Colin kept asking when you guys were going to show up?  I think we are going to plan to race on 7th.  He really wants try racing, plus Dan said they were goin to have a sort of instructional session for the kids.  Probably won't help the ones with experience, but should help the newbs.

We'll see. Kart assembly didn't go too good yesterday. Today is the day. I am confident :-X that it will go together.

Kicking around going to Thompson for a race tomorrow. Never been there. Today will determine that. Otherwise we plan to be at BR tomorrow to shake down.

I would do the 7th, if you can, its the first race for all so expectations are there for all the 'rookies' to be learning. I'll be there in the AM for tech and such but Summer won't be there until the races. So if you need any help on where to be, what to do and when I'll be around.

Thanks for the vote Steve...

I put on a new axle. The axle keys for the brake, sprocket and wheel hubs were different than my old axle, so I had to order new ones. I get them in and come to find that they were fractions of a mm too wide, so I had to sand them all down. Then I realized after I got it all together (and centered and all the various components aligned) that I forgot the m-fing chain, take it all apart, put on a new chain. Go to mount the motor - - new chain is too long... Take it all apart. Can't figure out how to take the chain apart, so I clean up the old one and put it on. Glad this thing is small...

Get the motor all mounted and go to fire it up for the first time (since taking the head off for the first time ever too)... and the thing screams, thought for sure it was going to grenade itself. Turns out, some how - still can't figure out how - the throttle cable was only allowing the carb to close 1/2 way. I adjusted it and now it starts and idles fine.

But... we didn't get out on Sunday as we stayed home b/c of the rain.

Dan, any chance of practice on Thursday?

She can't make Friday and she will be missing Saturday AM practice/qualifying. Would like to shake this thing down.

(may not be the best prices around)

That plus some rivet master links (google it) will solve your chain problems forever.

Will get everything posted up tomorrow but Tuesday-Thursday we'll be open from 4-8 for sure and if anyone wants to come in earlier - just let us know.

Friday will be 12-8 and then of course raceday Saturday.

We have four clones ready to race this weekend - $50 plus the entry fee.  Come on out and have some cheap fun.  Practice, qualifying, pre-final and final.  All four karts should be competitive as well.

Thanks! We'll be up around 5.

BTW, did the parking spots ever get published? I know I chose the same as last year, just curious...

Dan, I saw in the newsletter, no practice tonight, called and they also said no practice tonight...  can I hold you to the May 3rd post?

Otherwise could be an interesting start for the pre-final...

edit: found your cell, thanks.
