Howdy,

I took a victory lap in my school race :P I didn't miss the yellows but did the checkered :'(

I didn't put that in my write up, but I missed the checkered and got lucky this weekend...  They were checkering us in 9 or 10 for an immediate stop to keep downtime to a minimum for sessions.  I was catching a group of cars into there and was more worried about someone doing something dumb in 9 than flags and never saw it.  I didn't actually catch them, but when both slowed and went for pit in I put my hand up and followed.  :-)

Great read, thanks for posting it!

I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one confused about the proper procedure when catching the checkered in 9. Tell Laura I had the same thought process, I was just worried I'd get canned for "missing a flag" so I err'd on the side of caution and pitted in

Howdy,

Here's the car I was in this weekend.

And yes, of course I picked the picture from when I was on pole for the 2nd practice start.  :-)

Glad to see that you recognize what getting a road race license is - a life event.

Congrats to you and all of your classmates.

See you on the track!
