I'd be suprised if they really didn't put a new filter on.

Did you put on a new oil cooler?

That makes sense now, I used to run one of those pre turbo filters but after having one clog and take out a turbo i decided it was better to just run a better oil filter and not worry about the pre turbo filter.

After the motor was first started up did you change the oil a few times within the first couple heat cycles?  Engine assembly lube will do that exact thing inside oil filters which is why a lot of people don't use it like they used to.  It congeals and blocks stuff.

Yeah changed it after driving 100miles back to my house.  Then changed it around 500miles and then at 1k miles.  Just never checked that filter.

At a pretty good spot right now so decided to go back to work.  Just need to do the following:
Tighten up all bolts, install the turbo oil line to the housing near the oil pan, put the radiator in, put air intake back on and fill up with fluids.  Should get it all done this weekend and try to get it turned next week.

Goal was not to retouch or crop, however I'll retouch upon request.  Let me know.

Enjoy.

Thanks.  I think once I sort out some iso settings (to compensate for the slower lens), I'll be getting along with having more than 2x the reach just fine.

BTW, I think you have as much wheel lift as I do...   ::)

I noticed that  :(    I might have to start a thread discussing minimizing that.....it can't possibly be helping me!

Same story I imagine.  Lack of droop, narrow track and one end that probably needs more spring rate.

Cool! That's a massive zoom range.  Are you using it anywhere near 500mm?

Yeah.  And on a crop body too, so 800mm equivalent.  Basically I don't have to be in one spot to get one shot now, which at least so far has been nice.  Thing takes some getting used to though, weight and zoom makes it harder to track objects correctly - hadn't really given that issue thought until I tried to use it.
