That makes sense now, I used to run one of those pre turbo filters but after having one clog and take out a turbo i decided it was better to just run a better oil filter and not worry about the pre turbo filter.After the motor was first started up did you change the oil a few times within the first couple heat cycles? Engine assembly lube will do that exact thing inside oil filters which is why a lot of people don't use it like they used to. It congeals and blocks stuff.
