« on: April 23, 2012, 03:08:30 PM »
Hello all, I just got done restoring a car from my past and am looking to have some fun with it. I hopefully will be attending my first Autocross on May 15 at the old Beaver run complex. GOD willing and it doesn't snow! I have already found out this is a freindly and helpful group!

FYI... check with www.scrsolo.com but the 1st SCR autocross is May 13th. It's on a Sunday.

So, that would be the same weekend of spring Carlisle.

Welcome aboard  :)

There are a few people who have raced Iroc's on here (Keith & Kurt) so I'm sure they could give you a few points on tire pressures and such.

No, My name is Tom, and I messed up on the date it is the 13th of may. Does this Jason own an IROCZ also? Do many of them compete in Autocross? I'm just looking for something to do with my car without destroying it or cutting it up. The car actually has a successfull Autocross history in Indiana. The prior owner had several trophies from campaigning it. He ran in E class, Street Prepared. He had it lowered to like 1 inch off the ground, a racing seat and harness setup and a 4" open exhaust. It really looked like a race car. I restored it back to street legal in PA. I can't wait to drive a course with it. What is Carlilse? Thanks!

There's another region locally ( Allegheny Highlands ) that has allot of 3rd gen F-body's running. They have at least 2-3 that I can remember.

They run out in Blairsville, Strongstown and now @ Jennerstown speedway.

I sold it to buy *the* car for F-Stock autocross back in the day - LS1 Camaro.

That is the only car I've ever sold that I had long term regrets.

Cool. Jason is a guy I work with who also just restored an IROCZ, and has expressed interest in auto crossing it :)
