hmm, add turbo to LS engine and that honda motorcyle engine wont stand a chance no matter what size the turbo, and for reliability, I would say that the GM probably will outlast the s2000 engine espicially if you turbo it. Please dont show me that blasphemy again

I'm willing to bet that Honda motor was just lowered into the bay for the photo and promptly removed  :P

Slight detail update on the RX7, car does have AC.  Apparently not all of them had that.  Car is currently only listed on RPA for the moment.

I'm willing to bet that Honda motor was just lowered into the bay for the photo and promptly removed  :P

Oddly enough the vette was in because it lost a cylinder.  Honda motor was laying nearby, rest is history.

Ray, you are the lucky winnner in guessing who would buy another 1986 Japanese car.  Big thanks goes out to Chris for putting me onto this car.  Mike Ancas and me had a great trip to pick the car up on Sunday. I have never bought a car just based on a picture, but took a chance on this one, I was hoping for nice but it exceeded all my expectations.  This car is like walking into a Mazda showroom in 1986 and buying it off the showroom floor!  One lady owner since new and garaged its entire life, still has the original exhaust on it. The gas mileage coming back was unbelievable, the owner said it would get 27 mpg on the road and I figured if we got 24 it would be amazing for a rotary, it got 28.5  mpg, i am shocked. Any way Mike drove it about half the way back to Pittsburgh and he gives it a big thumbs up.  Thanks to him for spending 10 hours of his Sunday on a road trip to Ohio and back.  I plan on putting on new tires as the ones on it now are dry rotted, owner told me he put them on in 1990, still good tread but need to be replaced for safety purposes.

Glad it worked out Dennis!  My brother told me about the tires being old so I'm glad they got you back from Ohio.  This thing ever going to see cones or will this be strictly a street ride?

I may put on some sticky street tires and bring it out to a NH events, but otherwise I am going to keep it as stock as possible and enjoy it this summer, especially since the air conditioning works great!

It's good that will happen after several hours at highway speeds.   :o

Seriously, glad everything worked out.

Howdy,

Ancas was driving.  He'd be safer on old/crap tires, since that's all he has experience on.

Dennis,

Good to see this great example going to a great guy.  Let me know if there's anyway I can help you out with it.  Also, please consider joining the West Penn Mazda Club, who's core membership are still a bunch of rotary enthusiasts.  The discount on parts we get are more than worth the $15 dues.

Let me know if you plan to auto-x it and I'll come to check it out.
