Speed Racer Trivia
« on: May 01, 2012, 02:03:03 PM »
This is for fun.  No cheating by looking stuff up.  Your answers should be from memory if you are any kind of automotive enthusiast.  These questions are from my memory and it is manditory that you know this.
This is from the original cartoon, not that crappy movie.

Easy ones first - Name the monkey and youngest brother.
Speed racers girlfriends name?
What was the name of the engine that no racer could drive?
When speed pressed the "G" button what did his car do?
Speeds mechanics name?

Howdy,

Well, that's impressive.  I don't know a single answer to any of these.

Trixie is the monkey maybe?

Now did you cheat?  AJ is correct.  I know what you were doing at 3:30 in the afternoon after school.

Now for a tough one - name the leader of the car acrobatics team.

How about Rex's car number?

Racer X drove the Shooting Star.  Pretty sure that it was number 9.

He was Speed's older brother who ran away from home and concealed his identity. Wasn't he a spy of some sort?

I must be too young.  I have no idea on any of this stuff.  I might stand a better chance debating which voltron was best however.

I'm old enough to be into speed Racer, and young enough to remember Voltron and G-Force.

But then again, I watched the original GI Joe, Transformers, Go Bots and Robotech ( my personal fav)

You got me on the mob leaders name and the name of their car - I don't know that, I would have to look it up.  I would have to really dig deep and actually watch an episode, but name what the buttons on the steering wheel did.

AJ, you need help.

There were two Voltrons?

Damn.  And just the other day I was watching Voltron with Dominic (netflix is the best thing that's ever happened to '80's cartoons... :-)
