Nope.  It isn't a pro.  Tours aren't needed for nationals this year.
Now with even skinnier/smaller diameter tires on the Corvette for SCR ice-rink skating in 2013.

Joe where did you find that link?  The page off of Scca's site http://www.scca.com/events/index.cfm?eid=3609 still shows registration opening on the 5/29 but the links aren't opened yet.

The SCCA links don't work.  I never rely on them.  All of the registration is done on motorsportsreg - so I just refreshed until the event showed up.

It looks like Randy is correct.  People don't seem to be in a hurry to register for this one.

I'm surprised, its a concrete surface, right? I would think that folks would want to use it for practice for Lincoln?

At least I do, the only concrete experience I've had is the small sweeper section at Finger Lakes, and possibly a small section at mid-state airport?

But, without Joe's link, I wouldn't have found registration and would still be waiting for the link on SCCA's site.

When I 1st went to Peru in 2007 it was a decent event ( participation wise ) with 12 in DS and something like 25 in SS....

the #'s dropped off since Topeka wasn't concrete and while they're getting better it's still not recovered.

Back in 2009 there was 18 in SS.

It's not as grippy as Toledo's site, but it's not bad. There are some spots to watch out for that's for sure.

It's early as well... IIRC , the registration #s didn't start to pick up until a few weeks out.

I should be there sometime around noon on Friday I think. Not sure about practice yet.

I'm @ the Comfort Inn down the road in Kokomo. Still need to get my tires flipped somehow and I'm getting new rear street tires mounted after work today.

So, if it rains, I might have a chance to not only compete, but make it home too.

:-)  Hi!

A better question is what board members are going to Peru and do you have coverage lined up for the event on Sunday?

I don't think the Hill's are going to Peru (assuming that Marisa will be in a Kart and/or Travis will be bringing his Porsche) we should have coverage for workers.  Brian will be in Peru, so we'll need someone to do the novice stuff. (maybe Kirkham? if he attends, he was novice cheif, right?)  The biggest problem you'll have is tech, both Joe and Cory will be away.

I started an event thread so we can get that stuff addressed.

Alex A has offered to help out with whatever is needed.

Speaking of Kirkham.... is Mark and Chris still planning on coming to Nationals in the Miata?

I haven't heard from Chris.  I'll be there for sure.  Right now, it'll be in our RX8 in RTR, but that could change if Kirkham wanted to come and have me drag his car out there instead of mine.  Ditto John Ryan.
