Title: VW GTI wheel locks
Post by: Roy Hill on March 07, 2019, 05:08:42 pm
Anyone has any ideas on how to remove VW wheel locks without the key?   My original key stripped.  I bought another and it also stripped.  I tried the 7/8 12 point socket trick but it didn't work.  Beside drilling or burning I can think of any other way to get them off.

Thanks
Roy

I don't know how the VW lock works, but I had luck using the Gator Grip socket https://low.es/2UEn7RX to remove a locking set a few years back.

Thank you for the idea.  That's just about what I was doing with the 7/8 socket.
